Warrior of the Week: Jessica Yoos

How long have you been practicing at Flux Power Yoga? How did you know this was your place?

I rekindled my yoga journey last September after a back injury.  I was feeling quite broken and frustrated.I felt so scooped up by both the teachers and the community!

How has your practice evolved and /or what benefits have you gotten in your practice and in your life?

It’s fun to say I actually have a yoga practice!  I have learned so much about my body and myself on this journey.I am more grounded and patient in day to day crazy life, and am so much more able to calm my mind during times of stress.


Favorite pose and why?

I’m a total headstand junky.  I love being upside down for its playful perspective on the world! 

Any advice for new yogis?

It’s a journey.  Both for your body and your mind.  Get curious with it.  Notice how poses on different days feel profoundly dissimilar or the same.  It will take you where you need and want to go!
