How long have you been practicing at Flux Power Yoga? How did you know this was your place?
I have been practicing at flux since mid February. I knew FLUX was the place for me because of the amazing instructors, friendly community of yogis, and the perfectly paced yoga which gets me pumped every time I attend.
How has your practice evolved and /or what benefits have you gotten in your practice and in your life?
I feel so much more centered mentally and flexible/fit physically since becoming a member. When I first came to FLUX I was beginning a period of personal catharsis. The practice of early morning yoga and evening melt classes has helped me feel more confident and given me the ability to reflect, compartmentalize, and find some balance in my life.
Favorite pose and why?
My favorite poses are extended mountain, wheel, dancer and shoe laces. I love feeling all my muscles light up from head to toe in extended mountain, dancer and wheel. The deep stretch of shoe laces is great for meditation and feeling my hips loosen up when the pose is released feels so good.
Any advice for new yogis?
My advice for new yogis is stay with it, keep showing up and try to always push past your comfort zones. Learn to breathe through your discomfort and you will be amazed at how you will grow in your practice and life.
