How long have you been practicing at Flux Power Yoga? How did you know this was your place?
I’ve been practicing at Flux for about a year. I knew it was my place because of the energy, sense of community and shared the passion for yoga!
How has your practice evolved and /or what benefits have you gotten in your practice and in your life?
I’ve been practicing almost 5 years – yoga has transformed my life; mind – body and spirit. It has cultivated a sense of balance – between effort and ease, I feel stronger physically as well as spiritually! What I’ve noticed is an understanding that I’m far more capable than I ever thought possible, it helps with my self-confidence. I have gratitude for a healthy body which allows me to experience this amazing life – go out participate, be active and show up! Emotionally/spiritually yoga helps me with some anxiety I’ve held onto for years, being present in the moment utilizing my breath for emotional stability helps me to pause when life comes at me – (most of the time :)) I’m able to thoughtfully respond rather than react. Finally, yoga has given me the awareness to understand that we choose our attitude ~ I choose positive energy. I’m excited to continue learning and growing in my practice and my life!
Favorite pose and why?
Half moon – you get to fly for a moment, the sense of levitating.
Any advice for new yogis?
Simple – Keep showing up on your mat.
