Rebecca is an RYT-200 and RCYT living in Bellingham, Washington. After years of long distance running, she found herself at a local Baptiste Power Yoga studio seeking ways to strengthen and add mobility to her injured body. She had practiced yoga off and on for several years, but never yoga like this. She left that first class feeling exhausted, exhilarated……..and ready for more! Through consistent practice and mindfulness, Rebecca found her inner voice changing from an annoyed “why now” to an excited “I am ready now!”. Yoga has helped Rebecca to heal her mind and body, and also created space for her to rediscover the magic in being fully present, listening without judgement, and loving without restraint. This knowledge helped paved the way for Rebecca to find her authentic voice while pursuing her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification.
Passionate about teaching yoga to both children and adults, Rebecca is committed to creating fun and challenging classes to students of all levels. Rebecca’s classes will encourage you to explore new possibilities, laugh out loud, and to live life on and off your mat with curiosity and gratitude.
Rebecca received her RYT-200 from Power Yoga Academy and her RCYT from Asanas for Autism and Special Needs. When not teaching or practicing yoga, you can find Rebecca running the trails around Bellingham with her wacky Australian Shepherd or off on an adventure travelling with her husband and son. In her heart, Rebecca knows that joy is always there, in every breath and every moment, and there’s nothing that an open heart (and maybe a slice of cake) can’t fix.
