Growing up as a naturally competitive person, Joey began to find nourishment in her yoga practice when she took the competition out of it and began exploring how she wanted to move rather than how she thought she should. Since she started practicing consistently, yoga has been a powerful tool for healing her relationship to her body and bringing loving awareness to her life. Fast forward a few years after beginning her yoga journey and she is now finishing a degree in PE/Health education at WWU after completing her 200 hour teaching training in 2021. Joey is passionate about holding space for others to find joy, self love and confidence through movement and breath work, while encouraging her students to embrace messiness and imperfections on and off the mat.
