Dear Flux Community,

It is with great care and thoughtfulness that we have come to the decision to require proof of vaccination in order to participate at Flux Power Yoga. In consultation with our community and local state guidelines, we have made the decision that beginning Monday, Aug 23, our studio will become Vaccine Required. It was not an easy decision, but we feel it is what’s best for the community at large, to keep people safe and assist in helping stop the spread of Covid.

Given that the proclamation of a statewide State of Emergency by Gov. Inslee, the most recent mask order from the WA State Secretary of Health has mandated masks in all indoor facilities including gyms, dance, yoga studios snd martial arts. We hope this will serve the community well by keeping people safe and healthy and we hope this will be temporary. Thank you for helping us help our community by wearing your masks during classes and present your proof of vaccination before attending. We know this is a difficult time and we hope to be part of the solution and get through this together.

FAQs for Vaccine Required Studio: 

What is the new requirement?

  • All students and employees who enter the studio will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. 
  • We are currently considering an individual as vaccinated as of two weeks of receipt of their 2nd dose of their COVID-19 vaccine (or only dose if you receive the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccination).

I have a medical/religious objection to getting vaccinated. What are my options?

  • To request an accommodation for medical reasons, members must provide a doctor’s note. For a religious accommodation, members must provide a written attestation.
  • A doctor’s note or religious attestation must be provided to the studio at least 48 hours prior to your class via email or in person. This will only need to be provided one time.
  • Students who request and are granted an accommodation for a medical or religious exemption must wear a mask at all times and present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 7 days to enter the studio.

What proof is accepted?

  • (1) Physical vaccination card or other government-provided vaccination record (2) Photo of vaccination card (3) Commercial solution like MyIRMobile app 

How do I submit proof of vaccination?

  • You may email a photo or proof to us at or
  • Please present your proof of vaccination in person when you arrive to your first class beginning 8/23. We encourage you to arrive to the studio a few minutes earlier than usual. You will only have to show proof of vaccination once.

What information are you storing? Will my vaccination status be shared with anyone?

  • We will review your proof of vaccination, but we will not make or store a copy of the proof itself. Instead, we will note in our system that your vaccination status has been verified, which allows us to avoid having to ask you for proof each time you ride. We will not share your vaccination status unless we are required by law or court order to do so.

I prefer you not store my vaccination information. Can I show my vaccination proof each time I arrive?

  • Please note we will not store information from your vaccination card or other proof, only the fact that your proof was provided to us. If you still prefer, you can show your proof of vaccination each time you enter the studio. However, you will be denied entry to class if you forget or cannot provide proof of vaccination and have not already been granted a medical or religious accommodation.

Can I show proof of a negative COVID-19 test instead of proof of vaccination? 

  • No. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test is accepted for entry only if you have been granted an accommodation for a medical or religious exemption.

Can I remove my mask now since everyone is vaccinated?

  • Students who show acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination will still be required as per the current WA state mask mandate. Detailed Order from the State Secretary of Health click here.

We will continue to follow these Covid Safety Protocols:
Flux Power Yoga is committed to providing a safe workspace for our team and clients. With that in mind, we’ve built this Covid-19 Studio Safety Protocol. As our business re-opens to the public, we want to ensure not only the safety of our clients but the safety of the greater community that every person entering our studio will come into contact with. Every person is expected to take part in implementing and complying with these measures.  

You are the core of our business and we’re incredibly serious about protecting the health of each and every one of you. We have built our Studio Safety Protocol referencing expert advice as well as the comfort level of our teaching staff.  

The Studio Safety Protocols includes:

Health Protocol:  

People with these symptoms or combinations of symptoms may have COVID-19 AND SHOULD NOT ATTEND:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Or at least two of these symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell

All people should self-monitor for these symptoms. If you have any of these symptoms, please stay home.  

The following procedures are being implemented to ensure that healthy clients are entering the studio. If symptoms are reported at a later time then proper contact tracing can occur.  

Everyone must adhere to WA State mandate of wearing a face mask. 

You will also sign an updated Waiver that includes language on Covid-19.

  • If you show any symptoms of Covid-19 or test positive for Covid-19 within 14 days of attending the studio, then you should immediately contact Flux Power Yoga 360-671-0198.  
  • Studio Manager will review whom you have had contact with at the studio in the prior 14 days leading up to going into isolation from the studio. This will include all clients and team members that you have had close contact with (close contact being within 6 feet for at least 5 minutes).   
  • If you have been in close contact (per the above definition) with an affected client who tests positive for Covid-19 within their isolation period, you will be notified via email and phone call. Per the CDC guidelines, remain in isolation for 14 days and self-monitor for symptoms and seek a Covid test. Seek medical attention should you develop any symptoms.  
  • We are implementing policies to protect all team members’ and client’s health details and conditions. When notifying people who have had close contact with an affected team member or client, the identity and condition of the infected person will not be shared.  
  • Any person who shows symptoms may not re-enter the studio until at least 72 hours have passed since the resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications, and improvement in respiratory symptoms such as shortness of breath or cough, and at least 7 days have passed since symptoms ended and a negative Covid test result. 
  • All clients should practice social distancing by deliberately increasing the physical space between you and other people to at least six feet wherever possible. 

Hygiene Protocol:  

All clients must implement good hygiene and infection control practices. These include:

  • Frequently wash hands: Clients are instructed to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water at the beginning of their session and after using the restroom.  
  • Avoid touching your face.  
  • Use respiratory etiquette: Cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing with a sleeve or tissue. Wash your hands following coughing and sneezing and dispose of tissues in the trash. Avoid touching your face when coughing and sneezing. This etiquette will be demonstrated on signage and supported by making tissues and touch-free trash receptacles available to all employees and clients. Studio will provide hand sanitizer stations throughout the studio to further assist in this.  
  • Do not handle other peoples’ belongings including phones and personal equipment.  

Sanitation Protocol:

Our studio will provide daily sanitation and housekeeping as normal, with additional cleanings and disinfection measures in between all sessions.   

Restrooms are single use restrooms. Only one person at a time can enter.  

In between each session, all equipment used will be disinfected. The studio will be closed for 30 minutes between sessions for thorough additional disinfecting. We have chosen cleaning products based on recommendations from the CDC and EPA. Products with EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims are expected to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 based on data for harder to kill viruses.  

Social Distancing Protocol:

The studio is observing strict social distancing protocol to ensure close contact (contact of less than 6’) is limited.  

  • Only clients who have pre-booked classes will be allowed to enter the facility.
  • Masks are mandatory.
  • The floor is marked for individuals spots for each student.  
  • Check-in is contactless with the exception of signing a digital waiver
  • Please leave all your non-essential belongings in your vehicle.
  • Places for each client will be delineated by marked space. For example, the floor will be taped where each mat will be placed or where each client will practice. 
  • No hands-on assists are being given during the class. All cues will be verbal or visual. The instructor will maintain at least 6’ or greater distance from the clients.  
  • When the class ends clients will leave one at a time from the studio, wearing a mask.  

Late Cancellations, Freezes, Cancellations, Payments and Refunds:

In light of Covid-19 all packages, sessions, and memberships, have updated policies. 

Late Cancellations: 

$25 late cancellation fee

Late cancellation is considered canceling 2 hours or less before the start of class. If the cancellation is due to illness or exposure to Covid-19 the fees are officially waived. Please note: If you show any signs or symptoms of Covid-19, please review the Client Section for when you can schedule your next session.

No-Shows: $25 no show fee

Membership Suspension due to Covid:

All packages, sessions and memberships may be frozen for up to 14 days if a client is ill, diagnosed or has been exposed to Covid-19 or up until a negative Covid test result has been received. If more than 14 days suspension is needed, please forward your positive Covid test result to and your request to extend your suspension. There is no fee for this suspension. Membership Cancellations:

No refunds will be provided for memberships, packages or classes. If you are ill, diagnosed or has been exposed to Covid-19, the studio will extend the expiration date of a class package up to 14 days. This may be extended based on the individual client’s situation. There are no refunds for individual sessions. There are no refunds for used sessions.  


As of this time all of our waivers of liability have been updated to include infectious disease within them. We will provide you an updated copy of the waiver to sign.  

Communication Plan

This plan is being communicated to clients and team members through our Studio Safety Protocol Plans, interior studio signage, and our Studio Safety Protocol Manual. Additional communication and training may be updated over email, phone calls, or updates to our manual.  

To acknowledge receipt and understanding of this plan, employees will be required to sign a current copy of this document upon their return to their workplace.
